Fifaliana School opened in September 2021. It was built by and belongs to Scolarisation Madagascar. It welcomes 154 underprivileged children from kindergarten to grade 6. Its free canteen provides balanced meals to all children. Extracurricular activities are also available to everyone. Its inclusive pedagogy allows disabled children to integrate with their non-disabled peers. Fourteen people are employed to operate Fifaliana. See the dedicated Fifaliana website.
Children we identify as coming from the poorest families, thanks to our social assistance, receive social and financial support that enables the children to go to school and mothers to receive professional training. At the same time, students with excellent academic results receive an additional scholarship to continue their higher education until they obtain their diplomas.
Our organization covers the education expenses of the most underprivileged children: registration fees, tuition, school supplies, etc... Scholarships are awarded to the neediest families. This enables around a hundred children who were excluded from the education system to go to school and receive support from our social workers.
Every year, several public schools are selected in the Antsirabe School District. During the lean period from December to April, our association sets up free canteens for all children. This action allows these children to benefit from balanced meals that are essential for their health and academic success.
The Koloina center is home to 25 young girls from Antsirabe who have been placed in care by the children's judge, thanks to the association "Les amis de Madagascar". The "Koloinettes" are supported in every aspect of their lives until they become independent adults.
This is the only school in the village of Antanikatsaka. It caters for over 200 pupils in primary and junior high school. It is one of the few inclusive schools in the region for disabled children. It also has its own vegetable garden and canteen.
The emergency shelter set up by the Grandir à association in the town of Antsirabe takes in street children every day. It offers them a little warmth, conviviality and comfort for the night.
The Fofaja school specializes in teaching blind and partially-sighted pupils. More than 30 people work here, and over 70 pupils are enrolled. The center also offers boarding facilities.
During the pandemic, Scolarisation Madagascar welcomed around 200 poor children every Wednesday. They were welcomed in the headquarters courtyard to receive a plate of rice, vegetables and meat.
After two cyclones hit Mananjary in quick succession (Batsirai and Emnati), Scolarisation Madagascar provided 13 tonnes of exceptional emergency aid to meet the needs of the victims.
For almost 10 years, a 3-person volunteer medical team came to the area with nearly 70 kg of equipment. Free consultations were provided in several villages, and eyeglasses were distributed to those in need.
Thanks to a partnership with VivaSon and Perma Alter, a team of volunteer ENT specialists and audioprosthetists came to Antsirabe to provide care and hearing aids to an underprivileged population of around 150 people.
The Anyma center is a home for poor families who have no accommodation in the capital when a member of their household needs to be hospitalized there. It offers medical care nutritional support, training and long-term follow-up.
After more than 10 years of construction work, Sainte-Anne Hospital has opened its doors in Mananjary. This titanic and unique project will provide a regional referral center and healthcare services accessible to the entire population, thanks to an exceptional level of mobilization.
In times of global crisis, Scolarisation Madagascar organizes weekly rice distributions to help the population get through this difficult period, and supports poor children and families.
The Fiezahana center distributes free meals every lunchtime to 19 pupils who cannot afford to pay for the canteen. In addition, the center is open every Saturday to provide children with tutoring and educational activities.
Scolarisation Madagascar has co-financed with Poésie & Modernité a trip to discover the sea and vacations for a group of 35 children and adults, handicapped, orphans or street children.
Scolarisation Madagascar has provided financial support for the purchase of materials to help make this project a reality. In this small, isolated village, villagers are cooperating to build a 3-classroom high school themselves, the nearest being 17 km away.
Scolarisation Madagascar focuses on social reintegration through sport. The soccer club provides local youngsters with a support structure that allows them to enjoy themselves and leads them towards vocational training.
70 km from Mananjary, nurses and laboratory assistants welcome around 80 patients every day. Bungalows allow them to continue treatment until they are completely cured, and to provide training for the local population.
